Asian logistics service provider, Kerry Logistics, has entered into a joint venture with Globalink Logistics, a freight forwarding group headquartered in Dubai.

Kerry Logistics has expanded its footprint in the Middle East by setting up a new office in Bahrain and opening a bonded logistics facility in Dubai.

According to Kerry Logistics, the move will significantly expand its coverage in Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), opening the door to potential markets with tremendous growth prospects.

The Bahraini office focuses on the automotive, oil and gas, fashion and lifestyle and electronics and technology verticals with air, ocean and road freight, customs clearance and warehousing services.

The Dubai facility is located three kilometers from Al Maktoum International Airport and 20 minutes from Jebel Ali Port.

The bonded facility has an area of 70,000 square feet, offering services to electronics and technology customers and e-commerce fulfillment services.

William Ma, Group Managing Director of Kerry Logistics, said, “We are very excited about this joint venture, which is part of our development strategy to tap into the immense opportunities from the Belt and Road Initiative. The new partnership will allow the two groups to leverage each other’s competitive strengths and provide new options and cost-efficient multimodal solutions to our customers with greater flexibility and access to the strongest network in Asia.”

Since 2014, Kerry Logistics has been providing cost-efficient multimodal solutions covering air, ocean and road freight, as well as warehousing services to domestic and international customers in the Middle East.

The new addition of Bahrain increases Kerry Logistics’ global network coverage to 55 countries and territories.
